This simplified tool covers common single, joint and certain retirement ownership categories. It is not a replacement for the FDIC Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator.
Calculation limits: Coverage is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each ownership category, subject to FDIC requirements. Trusts, beneficiaries, business accounts and complex ownership need a full EDIE review.
